More About Our Company

IPayment is one of the largest and most stable providers of credit and debit card-based payment processing services in the United States. Currently, IPayment provides risk management, fraud detection, merchant support, and chargeback services in connection with disputes with cardholders to approximately 145,000 merchants throughout the country. The Nilson report, a publication specializing in consumer payment systems worldwide, listed IPayment as one of the top bank card acquirers in the country.

As of December 31, 2008, IPayment and its wholly-owned subsidiaries employed 329 full-time personnel, including 16 information systems and technology employees, 34 risk management employees, 213 in operations, and 66 in sales and administration. Since 2002, IPayment Protected, an independent sales organization of IPayment, has worked diligently with small- to medium- sized banks, associations, and merchants that have traditionally been under-served by the processing industry.

Our Mission

The philosophy of IPayment has always been to be consultants to our merchants, not sales people. We pride ourselves on taking the time to learn about each merchant’s operation, which enables us to save them money, and more importantly, offer products and services that enhance their business. We strive to partner with our family of merchants in order to provide extremely competitive pricing, comprehensive education, and deliver unmatched customer service.

Relationship Building / Portfolio

Since 2002, IPayment Protected has grown by building long lasting relationships with a diverse portfolio of merchants and organizations stretching from Maine to Florida. We are proud to have an annual attrition rate of less than 6%, where the industry standard is over 18%. This has been accomplished through competitive pricing and superior service. Over the years our agents have answered questions and delivered replacement terminals on weekends and holidays. We also pride ourselves on spending time educating our clients on all facets and changes in our industry. We firmly believe that taking the time to understand a merchant’s business will enable us to educate that merchant as to the best ways we can save their business money.

Our Team

Every member of our board of directors is a thought leader who has made significant contributions to our society.

Each one brings a unique set of skills and expertise to our organization.
